Services & Programs
BEST Consulting currently offers two programs designed to fit educational, functional and behavioral needs of consumers between 2 to 12 years of age. The Early Intensive Behavioral Treatment (EIBT) program targets behavioral intervention for children 2 to 6 years of age. The primary goal of this program is to provide an intensive number of treatment hours over the course of two to three years, in order to increase the child's educational success and transition him/her into a less restrictive classroom placement. In addition the EIBT program targets/addresses increasing the child's independence with daily living skills, routines, and social skills within the home and community settings. The Functional Adaptive Skills Training (FAST) program is typically offered for children between the ages of 7 to 12. This program uses a trainer-to-trainer model by focusing consultative hours on parent training, functional skills teaching and generalization of functional and socialization skills in order to increase the child's independence.
In addition to the in-home services, BEST Consulting offers training and support for the parents and/or caregivers of children diagnosed with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other developmental delays. The parent training class is designed to provide intensive direct training with individuals or small groups on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, there are two forms of parent training offered: Parent ABA Training Course and Individualized Parent Training. BEST also provides assessment and intervention services in a trainer-to-trainer format for families who need help teaching new skills or reducing specific behavior problems.
