Behavior Intervention Services
These services are appropriate for any child or adult who displays behavior problems that interfere with their participation in daily routines, or are considered dangerous to themselves or others. The Behavior Specialist assigned to the case conducts a thorough behavioral assessment, and then develops a plan to reduce the problematic behavior and teach related skills. Approximately 20 hours of consultation and training are then provided directly to the parent/care provider. The objective of BIS is the elimination or decrease of behavior problems, and parent acquisition in the areas of prevention, skills teaching, and behavior reduction techniques.
